Electoral Register Information Service (ERIS)
"CAMEO" on the Internet
This is another subscription online version of the electoral registers and
in this case the The British Library has decided to subscribe.
Because we have to charge
for this service it is not directly accessible to readers but they, or
remote enquirers, can commission searches from the library.
Readers should ask for a 'CAMEO search' at the Enquiry Desk (remote enquires should ring 020-7412 7536 between 09:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday). The precise cost cannot be supplied in advance as it will depend on the amount of searching required but it comprises a search fee of £10.00 plus the cost of the 'credits' used in doing the search plus VAT. The overall cost is likely to fall within the range of £12.50 to £15.00. Payment should be by means of a sterling cheque made out to 'The British Library'.
